Choosing the right trail is essential. It should match both your fitness level and what you’re looking for, whether it’s a leisurely walk or a more challenging adventure. Before setting off, make sure you’re properly equipped and always check the weather forecast. Mountain conditions can change quickly, so staying informed is key.

Now, back to the question that brought you here: which trail should you choose?

To help you decide, the Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets Tourist Offices have created handy hiking guides packed with route suggestions and practical information. From peaceful alpine lakes and spectacular waterfalls to panoramic summits, the Portes du Soleil is full of incredible places to explore.

We’ll share some of our own favourite hikes below, but to make the best choice for your adventure, we highly recommend taking a look at the guides before you head out.
